Asthma is diagnosed by taking a look at the family medical history. Another way asthma can be diagnosed is to perform a breathing test. The breathing test is to see how well the lungs work. Spirometry is a test that tell how severe the asthma is and how well the treatment is working. Asthma does not have a cure but the symptoms can be controlled. The doctor would give the patient the best medication for their condition. Controlled medication is a type of medication for asthma. Controlled medications have to be taken daily.
