Jordan N- Allergy and Asthma Network is a charity foundation that is focused on “ Ending needless death and suffering due to asthma, allergies and related conditions through outreach, education, advocacy and research”. The Allergy and Asthma Network claims to be a nonprofit organization solely focused on helping cure asthma; yet this foundation makes an average of 3.2 million dollars a year, but only spends 2.5 million (78%) on program and fundraising efforts. So where is the other 500 thousand dollars going. Well, the president and founder alone take up to 450 thousand dollars (14% of all funding) each year to themselves leaving the rest to workers or expansion. So, even though they are claiming to be a non profit organization, they are taking 16% of all money made, money people give believing it's going straight to help fighting asthma. The only thing this charity is really good at is budgeting, even though a large chunk of that budget goes to themselves, they don't spend more than they have, and are still able to expand as a charity. However, even though this charity takes around 16% for there own benefits after saying they are non profit, they are still rated at 82 meaning they are a “B” when it comes to grades, meaning they are a high passing “grade” of a charity; when they should be more of a 60. This charity needs to fix their mission statement, open up to the public of what they have been doing, and work to fix their mistakes, or just go under.
